J.P. (Pat) Weir, AACI, P. App, BA

A resident of western Manitoba for over 40 years, Pat has been active in the real estate and appraisal professions since the 1970s, with experience in residential single and multi-family, varied commercial, agricultural and industrial valuations and consulting services.

Consulting projects have varied from single to multi-lot subdivision development, the Manitoba Potash Project, Manitoba Hazardous Waste Management Project, Aboriginal land claims and urban reserve development.

In recent years, work has concentrated on agricultural, commercial, industrial and multi-family appraisal, institutional valuations, and consulting assignments in addition to serving as an expert witness for court and committee proceedings for judicial cases.

Relied on as an objective expert witness in court for a wide range of client disputes, appraisals have been completed for corporate, family and personal financing and planning requirements.

Serving clients with a broad spectrum of assignments and properties, from southern to northern Manitoba, additional work has been completed in adjacent eastern Saskatchewan.

A member of the Manitoba and Canadian Real Estate Associations, and licensed as an authorized official for our real estate brokerage in excess of 40 years, Pat has been a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada during the same period. He holds the AACI, P.App designation in additional to having graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Pat provides professional appraisal and consulting services in Manitoba and region, and provides objective analysis to assist with client needs.

 

Barry Cusitar, CRA, P. App.

Barry Cusitar is a professional appraiser with Roland/Weir Appraisal Associates in Brandon, Manitoba, and has been completing residential appraisal reports in the western Manitoba region for over 35 years.

A real estate appraisal is an “opinion”—an opinion of most people’s most valuable asset—and Barry takes this to heart, providing only the best possible opinion at all times His integrity, honesty, and strong work ethic, along with his extensive real estate knowledge and deep devotion to the appraisal profession, ensures that his clients receive only top quality professional appraisal reports, every time.

Barry has personally completed over 13,000 appraisal reports, has been held out as a professional witness in the Court of Queen’s Bench, and has been a contributor to “BUSI 330 – Foundations of Real Estate Appraisal” through the Sauder School of Business, Real Estate Division, of UBC.

Barry is a 35-year member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) and holds the CRA, P.App designations. As well, to complement his real estate knowledge and to keep him abreast of all things real estate, he also holds a Real Estate Broker’s license (Authorized Official) and is a 40-year member in good standing of the Brandon Real Estate Board, the Manitoba Real Estate Association (MREA) and the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA).
